The NF3 pickups refer to PRS Narrowfield pickups, most famously featured on the PRS NF3 model. They are a unique PRS design that blends the clarity of single-coils with the punch and noiseless operation of humbuckers, essentially a “third voice” between the two.

PRS Patented Tremolo

The PRS Patented Tremolo is one of Paul Reed Smith’s most recognized hardware innovations. It was designed to give players the expressive range of a traditional tremolo/whammy bar without the tuning instability. It features a precision-engineered knife-edge pivot system that allows smooth, responsive motion while maintaining stability.

Bolt-On Neck

While most PRS core models use set-neck designs, the CE (Classic Electric) line uses a bolt-on maple neck. This construction gives the CE guitars a bit more brightness and a more Fender-like feal and bite, but still keeping the overall PRS warmth and ergonomic contours.
