Tommy Emmanuel’s Signature guitar. The most famous guitar of the entire Maton lineup. The benchmark for fingerstyle without a doubt. Fantastic balance between bright and mellow sound qualities. When amplified, the sound is barely distinguishable from the sound of Tommy on stage. Seriously, if you're looking for a fingerstyle guitar, there's no better one.
AP5 PRO Pickup System
AP5 PRO features separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the master volume.
The sound of the AP5 PRO is clean, with no 'fur' in the sound and does not suffer from tonal quality degradation with time.
As a result when plugged in you get this unearthy feeling that there is no amp bit your maton just suddenly got x10 louder, that is truely something.
808 - Body
Maton, traditionally for Australia, developed their ways separately from the rest of the world.
These guitars are made exclusively from Australian woods, and the famous 808 body shape was also introduced by Mayton in 1978. This is a cross between the usual 000 and the Dreadnought.
The 808th has the advantages of both. The dense pronounced middle of the triple-O and the deep bass of the dreadnought. It is not surprising that the best fingerstyle guitarists in the world prefer Mayton. In 808 body specifically.
We manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
Every guitar is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us :)
