The SE Silver Sky is a refined take on the original John Mayer signature model, introduced in 2018. Built with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, it delivers a familiar playing feel with PRS’s signature design touches - including bird inlays and the inverted headstock. The 22-fret neck follows the original 635JM profile with a 25.5" scale and 8.5" radius, offering smooth playability and vintage-inspired comfort.
At the heart of its tone are three 635JM “S” single-coil pickups, designed for clarity, warmth, and dynamic response - capable of clean articulation and gritty bite. Hardware includes a two-point steel tremolo, vintage-style tuners, and a synthetic bone nut for stable tuning and expressive performance. The SE Silver Sky also features a front-access double-acting truss rod for easy adjustments.
Available in multiple finishes, this model captures the spirit of the original Silver Sky in a versatile, stage-ready format.
Every guitar in our store is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us (or specify) when making an order and we will be happy to make a perfect guitar for you :)
Also, you have to keep in mind that wood is a living material. Guitar’s geometry changes a little over time, adjusting to temperature and humidity, so there is no setup that can last forever. To save you a headache, we have a free setup service for our instruments! If you feel that something is off you can bring it to us so that we can return everything to it’s perfect original state.
For online orders we manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
