The Prodipe PB80 RA Sunburst delivers the authentic, foundational punch of the classic P-style bass, wrapped in a timeless 3-tone sunburst finish. Paired with a three-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, it captures the celebrated vintage aesthetic that has anchored modern rhythm sections for decades.
Its solid basswood body offers excellent resonance, balanced midrange response, and a comfortable playing weight suitable for long gigs or studio sessions. The bolt-on varnished Canadian maple neck is matched with a synthetic rosewood fingerboard, providing a warm acoustic tone, smooth fretting, and reliable stability across all 20 frets. With a traditional 42 mm nut width and a rounded neck profile, it gives players the reassuring, substantial grip essential for confident basslines.
Powered by a custom-wound ALNICO V split single-coil pickup, the PB80 RA produces the iconic low-end thump, pronounced low-mids, and raw cutting power that sit effortlessly in any mix. The straightforward passive controls—a single master volume and master tone—make dialing in anything from vintage motown warmth to aggressive rock bite intuitive and immediate.
Every guitar in our store is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us (or specify) when making an order and we will be happy to make a perfect guitar for you :)
Also, you have to keep in mind that wood is a living material. Guitar’s geometry changes a little over time, adjusting to temperature and humidity, so there is no setup that can last forever. To save you a headache, we have a free setup service for our instruments! If you feel that something is off you can bring it to us so that we can return everything to it’s perfect original state.
For online orders we manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
