The PRS SE DGT in McCarty Tobacco Sunburst is the SE version of David Grissom’s signature model, designed to balance vintage feel with modern reliability. Built with a mahogany body and carved maple top, it delivers a warm, full midrange with strong sustain and clarity. The McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finish gives the guitar a traditional look that fits the instrument’s roots-inspired character.
Its DGT “S” humbuckers are voiced for dynamic response rather than extreme output, making the guitar especially responsive to picking attack and volume control adjustments. Independent volume controls for each pickup and a push-pull coil split add flexibility for blues, classic rock, country, and fusion styles. The 25-inch scale length and DGT neck shape provide a comfortable balance between the feel of shorter vintage guitars and the snap of longer-scale instruments.
With its expressive tone and player-focused controls, the SE DGT is particularly well suited for musicians who rely on touch sensitivity and nuanced phrasing rather than heavily processed sounds.
Every guitar in our store is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us (or specify) when making an order and we will be happy to make a perfect guitar for you :)
Also, you have to keep in mind that wood is a living material. Guitar’s geometry changes a little over time, adjusting to temperature and humidity, so there is no setup that can last forever. To save you a headache, we have a free setup service for our instruments! If you feel that something is off you can bring it to us so that we can return everything to it’s perfect original state.
For online orders we manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
