The Maton EBW808 is all about tonewood character and raw musicality. Made entirely from solid Australian Blackwood - top, back, and sides - it offers a warm, earthy voice with clear mids and a woody low end that’s full but never muddy. It’s a focused, punchy guitar with a natural responsiveness that works beautifully for fingerstyle and light strumming.
The 808 body shape gives it a tight, balanced sound - compact enough for comfort, but with enough projection to hold its own in a mix. With no binding or gloss to distract, the satin finish and minimalist styling let the wood do the talking, visually and sonically.
The Queensland maple neck with ebony fingerboard offers a smooth, familiar feel, and Maton’s AP5 Pro pickup system ensures the EBW808 sounds just as good plugged in as it does acoustically.
Stripped-back, stage-ready, and full of character - it’s a modern, no-frills acoustic that puts tone and feel first.
Every guitar in our store is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us (or specify) when making an order and we will be happy to make a perfect guitar for you :)
Also, you have to keep in mind that wood is a living material. Guitar’s geometry changes a little over time, adjusting to temperature and humidity, so there is no setup that can last forever. To save you a headache, we have a free setup service for our instruments! If you feel that something is off you can bring it to us so that we can return everything to it’s perfect original state.
For online orders we manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
