PRS SE A50EVS, Vintage Sunburst
The PRS SE A50EVS Angelus (Vintage Sunburst) is an acoustic-electric guitar in PRS’s SE acoustic line, designed to blend modern playability with a balanced, studio-ready acoustic tone.
It features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with figured maple back and sides, which gives it a clear, articulate sound with crisp highs and controlled lows. This tonewood combo is less warm than mahogany-based acoustics but offers strong note separation—especially useful for fingerpicking and lighter strumming.
The guitar uses PRS’s hybrid X/Classical bracing, which helps the top vibrate more freely while keeping the structure stable. This contributes to a “3D” projection and good volume for its size.
In terms of build, it includes a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and PRS’s signature bird inlays and headstock design. It also comes with a cutaway Angelus body shape, making upper fret access easy for melodic or solo playing.
For amplification, it uses a Fishman GT1 system (undersaddle pickup + soundhole controls), which delivers a natural, stage-ready acoustic tone without being overly processed.
Every guitar in our store is completely checked and set up by our guitar luthiers so that the guitar is easy to play yet without buzz. And if you have any special wishes regarding setup - tell us (or specify) when making an order and we will be happy to make a perfect guitar for you :)
Also, you have to keep in mind that wood is a living material. Guitar’s geometry changes a little over time, adjusting to temperature and humidity, so there is no setup that can last forever. To save you a headache, we have a free setup service for our instruments! If you feel that something is off you can bring it to us so that we can return everything to it’s perfect original state.
For online orders we manually pack each guitar into a ton of wraps and carton and also have full insurance for all our shippings. So that you wouldn’t worry that something might happen on the way.
